Ching Ming 030409

I supposed 2 stay at home n help my mum in shop on friday.
Unfortunately, my big sis sprained her leg. So she asked me 2 go Ching Ming with papa.
V go to fetch my aunt at around 0730. Then v met my lil uncle, his wife n 2 of my cousin bros at Changkat Lobak.

Sis already prepared all the stuff. So all i hv to do is juz follow her instruction. There was not many ppl tat day. A heavy rain fell on thurs night. The dirt was loose n sticky. So gotta be carefull.

Ppl looked at me coz i kept taking pics. Hmm...It look weird, I know la, k? Nobody dare 2 capture pics in graveyard ma...Mine is exception, juz 2 commemorate Ching Ming as I did 'Chinese Tradisional Festival in Malaysia". Want to know more about dis festival.

It has been 8 years since my last 'visit' 2 Changkat Lobak. V went 2 places a day 2 pray the ancestors. Many tombs were being abandoned. Here r some pics i took tat day.

The weather was cool...

V must 1st pray the big 'Pek Kong' b4 entering the graveyard...

The censer...

Datuk Kong...

A small piece of paper offering no for lottery...

Colourful papers n 'money'...

There is a small 'Pek Kong' stands beside every tomb...

My grandpa's tomb...

These r wat done by me. Pitching flags, scattering money n colour papers...

Put these on the tomb...

Papa is the elder son, he be the 1st to pray 'ah kong'...

I went up 2 help my cousin bros at my 'Ah Pek', eldest uncle n 'Ah shu' younger uncle's tomb. Doing the same things. Papa can't pray them, so he stayed alone at grandpa's tomb. Then, the elders after praying 'Ah Pek' n 'Ah Shu', they stayed at the bottom where grandpa's tomb lays n v, the youngest stay at the top where the tombs of our 2 uncles lay.

The funny thing is, I have forgotten where r my uncle's tomb. So I asked my 'Ku Ku', means my papa's sis how 2 get there. She told me:"Go to no 147, then 78." The 'address no.' of their house stated there. Oh gosh! *Grin*

Tse Tong scattering sparkling papers in pieces...

Tse Ling holding his 'Kopi Peng' n posting...

Eldest uncle's tomb...

younger uncle's tomb...

Dis is the 'old mountain' called by ppl. Not many ppl here..

I remember there was a pic in black n white, taken in 1960++. Papa was oni 10++ year old while 'Shu Shu' was not more than 10. They took it the year 'Ah Kong' passed away, beside the grave of him. 30++ years later, the 2 bros took the pic again beside their beloved father's tomb.

Papa n 'Shu Shu' stood beside 'Ah Kong'...

'Sending' the offering to the hell...

Sun glared down at the temple...

V went 2 the 'new mountain' then 2 my grandma's tomb. Together, me n papa went 2 pray my mum's parents, whom, my beloved grandma n grandpa at the same graveyard. Poor, their tombs were flooded. Every time when mama think of them, she will cry. Mama is the apple of their eyes. Now, the only son who is willing 2 pray them is my mum's lil bro. Mama wishes she can go too, but she can't stand with the hot weather n her legs r weak.

Papa n Ku ku r 'addicted' 2 numbers. I believe most of the chinese love 2 demand 4 lottery no fr their ancestors too. As usual, they asked 4 no fr Ah Ma. Dis time was quite different. 3 of the grand children which r me, Tse Ling n Tse Tong were chosen to pick the no in front of Ah Ma. Papa picked the last no coz he is the eldest son.

Beautiful lake tat v passed by...

The dam...

Again, it is a must 2 pray 'Pek Kong'...

The price of placing n tombs...

It was empty 8 years ago. Now i could c several new tombs there...
